This should now be the correct way. I did not need to touch build.bat indeed. I got confused by all the different combinations! I have removed the calls from build_pgo.bat to build.bat and changed the it to a native x64 build - the PGO requires the code to be run natively, so cross compiling makes no sense. There was also one \ too many in the pginstrument.props file, which caused a path to end on a \,円 which broke the build process.
