There is no a Python bug. You have wrong regexp. Remove "$" at the end or add ".*" before "$". And it would be better if instead of '(?P<date>.*?)\s' and '"(?P<method_uri>.*?)"' you use '(?P<date>\S+)\s' and '"(?P<method_uri>[^"]*)"'. |
