This is due to a bug in the current Cocoa Tk as released in ActiveTcl 8.5.12.1 (and 8.5.12). Try installing the previous ActiveTcl version, 8.5.11.1: http://downloads.activestate.com/ActiveTcl/releases/8.5.11.1/
