I have opened Issue #15244 with a patch to add a share module to the stdlib.
After monkey patching builtins.open(), io.open() and os.open() to be equivalents using FILE_SHARE_READ | FILE_SHARE_WRITE | FILE_SHARE_DELETE, the regression test suite still runs successfully. |
