I'm strongly opposed to enabling this by default at least for 3.3, but does anyone think something like this dialog http://i.imgur.com/18zPD.png be helpful? After choosing the directory to install to and before choosing the features, it's a simple dialog explaining that the Path feature is available and what it does.
