It is fair game (and necessary) when it comes to
exposing bugs that are hard to reproduce.
I'm wary of the original RuntimeError patch because
* it modifies code that has been stable for over a decade
* in order to "fix" a crasher that no one cares about
* while possibly breaking code that currently works
* and breaking it in a way that is hard to reproduce or diagnose. |
