The section heads should remain in title case. The colon in the octal escape section should remain, but the "If" following it should be lower cased. "Phonebook" should remain a single word. "vs" is fine without the period in a section head. It would be better to replace all of the "e.g." and "i.e" with "for example" and "such as".
