That's why I asked for absolute numbers for the overhead difference. A percentage doesn't tell me if launching a process costs 50μs more or 500ms more.
The only question is whether process launch overhead is significant compared to total process runtime (for non-trivial work, that is, not "echo 0" ;-)). |
