There is a bug with the patch. The first argument to the `start` command, if a quoted string, becomes the Window title, not the command to execute. Hence, idle.pyw is directly executed by Windows. Here's the correct command line: start "IDLELAUNCH" "%CURRDIR%..\..\pythonw.exe" "%CURRDIR%idle.pyw" %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9 Could you make this fix part of the upcoming 3.2?
