curses.tigetstr() returns bytes (which makes sense), but curses.tparm() expects
a Unicode string as first argument. As a consequence even the example given in
the documentation doesn't work:
>>> from curses import *
>>> setupterm()
>>> tparm(tigetstr("cup"), 5, 3)
