When running configure on AIX 5.3 using: OPT=-O2 LDFLAGS=-s ./configure --with-gcc="xlc_r -q64" --with-cxx-main="xlC_r -q64" --disable-ipv6 AR="ar -X64" The Makefile still contains g++ as the CXX compiler to be used.
