I wonder if it would be justified to expose something like int _PyLong_IsOdd(PyObject self) { PyLongObject lo = (PyLongObject *)self; return Py_SIZE(lo) != 0 && ((lo->ob_digit[0] & 1) != 0); } in longobject.h?
