This the last major feature from 3.x that I would need to upgrade my 2.6 code before making the switch to 3.1. There was Issue 3225 and 3238 (with tested code that seemed simple) that requested the same thing for 2.5 that was respectively rejected and deferred to 2.7. I suggest it would now be possible with 2.7 ?
