Bug Description
Now that lenovo-sl-laptop is included in ubuntu-modules (See Bug #351586) the problem is that this module is not auto-loaded and users are required to add it to /etc/modules in order to make the buttons work.
I guess this module should be autoloaded if hardware supports it.
I don't have the hardware here and fixed this problem remotely on a karmic box, so I couln't use ubuntu-bug.
It's also not loaded automatically on a SL 500.
Should the title of the bug be changed?
Hi Jonathan,
This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://
If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications-
apport-collect -p linux 448157
Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https:/
Thanks in advance.
