Bug Description
It would be nice if we could easily add *MUST READ* type of links to the sidebar when one tries to translate something. For example, I want that people that come in and want to start doing Catalan stuff are aware of our conventions before they start doing any translation. Just a pair of links to two Softcatalà resources would help a bit.
Right now, most of the new Catalan material that is being introduced in Rosetta is quite poor because they totally ignore these conventions.
Yes Jordi, we have identified this need also for the Israeli LoCo team, it would be great if we had that with i.e. specific documentatin for how to deal with the %s for displaying error messages inside a translated text with a special attention to RTL etc.
What's the status of this? IIRC, it was going to be considered for 1.0, but I don't think that's going to happen before that.
It's quite important, I think good pointers for completely new translators help minimise really useless translations you can easily see around Rosetta (at least for Catalan).
We don't have any spec for this feature.
Please, for the next launchpad conference (in three months or so), request that we prepare a spec for this feature. Or even better, create now a new spec at https:/
Thank you.
The bug reporting guidelines may be a good guide for how to do this.
Sorry about those changes, I was obviously playing with the wrong LP instance.
Fixed in 2.2.2.
