Bug Description
<empty comment>
Oops, I hit return by accident before filling in the details of the problem.
I'm running Hoary on a powermac here. on_ac_power indicates that the mac is
running off battery power. This is incorrect as the mac is not a laptop.
/proc/apm contains:
0.5 1.1 0x00 0x00 0xff 0xff -1% -1 min
powermgmt-base is version 1.21
John.
this would be a G5? If so, it's a known issue and a kernel problem, although I
do need to work around it; if it's G4 then it's not know.
Either way, please also let me see /proc/pmu/info . Thanks.
powermgmt-base (1.21ubuntu1) hoary; urgency=low
.
* Ensure on_ac_power works correctly on desktop G4/G5 systems (Ubuntu: 7046)
It's a 733 MHz G4, one of the Quicksilver models if I remember correctly.
/proc/pmu/info contains:
PMU driver version : 2
PMU firmware version : 0c
AC Power : 0
Battery count : 0
John.
