Apr 25, 2016 at 8:28 comment added Majenko Then you must have something seriously messed up with your wiring.
Apr 25, 2016 at 3:55 comment added Predrag Beocanin So i did try the resistor and arduino keeps burning up. One thing i noticed: if i wire pots directly to + arduino gets really hot really fast. If i wire them to arduino 5v pin, it gets hot slower, but still does. Im confused
Apr 24, 2016 at 16:47 comment added Majenko 220Ω should be fine
Apr 24, 2016 at 16:10 comment added Predrag Beocanin Theres 12 leds total, 3 per segment
Apr 24, 2016 at 16:09 comment added Majenko How many LEDs on your strip?
Apr 24, 2016 at 16:08 comment added Predrag Beocanin Any ideas how to figure it out? There are zero marks on the strip itself. No make and model, no specs
Apr 24, 2016 at 15:34 comment added Majenko That depends on how much current your LED strip needs per channel.
Apr 24, 2016 at 15:34 comment added Predrag Beocanin Would you suggest anything specific? Arduino should be able to throw 20mA on those outputs, transistors are running on 12v, while Arduino is on 6
Apr 24, 2016 at 15:18 comment added Majenko Yes, otherwise the transistors can draw too much current for the Arduino to handle.
Apr 24, 2016 at 15:18 comment added Predrag Beocanin Nothing according to the original build, should there be any?
Apr 24, 2016 at 15:15 comment added Majenko No base resistors?
