How can make the MCP works in -p mode (i.e. not interactive prompt mode) #651

Version 0.0.362
In interactive prompt mode, the mcp configuration can work correctly.

But in -p, i.e. just execute, it doesn't recognize any of the configured mcp.
Even including as simple like:

  1. copilot -p "/mcp show"
  2. copilot -p "/mcp add ContosoMCP C:\Contoso\ContosoMCP.exe"
Will tell don't know what is "/mcp".

Any people know how? Or it is not support with -p yet?
NOTE: I already tried --additional-mcp-config @xxx, without error, but it just doesn't know my mcp at all

@catrachoriverajoel-commits , sorry, what is relation on gh/hub and this copilot cli to solve my original question?

Hi @yeelam-gordon,

Slash commands can't be used in non-interactive mode!

if you want to noninteractively edit your MCP server configuration, I suggest editing the ~/.copilot/mcpconfig file manually
