Il s'appelle Nils Olav, c'est un manchot et il a été promu colonel en chef : [http://www.norway.org.uk/edinburgh/2005/nopromotion.htm(...)](http://www.norway.org.uk/edinburgh/2005/nopromotion.htm) . L'histoire n'est pas neuve puisque le premier contact de ce manchot avec l'armée norvégienne a eu lieu en 1961 et a été officialisé en 1972. Depuis, il est monté en grade régulièrement.
