Alan Moore is turning old on November 18 this year and to help celebrate his 50th (long live the king) Alan has announced he will no longer be spending his time writing comic books of the mainstream kind._ (...) _Alan Moore plans to wrap up all his comic book series and hopes to increase his output as much as possible before his retirement. Promethea will be finished at issue #32. Top 10 Season Two will not be published, and the other titles will conclude within the year. Alan Moore will be put out one-shot issues including The Many Worlds of Tesla Strong (May 2003) and an upcoming mini-series titled Terra Obscura starting in June. After Moore's official retirement, the co-creators have permission to work with the characters' "historical" stories. What will happen to The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is not yet known. Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neil own 100% of the publishing rights to the title so there is a good chance the series will be continued under another publishing house.
