you can try bringing some things to do such as books, music. I used to get annoyed easily when I got stuck in unexpected traffic jams. But the other day, I just loaded the i-pod with music when this happened. Thanks to the music, an hour passed without the usual feeling of frustration.
So I think the trick is to get your attention occupied by something else.
