Our next batch of Lockley Skimmer 45’s have been boxed. We have them in red, blue, metallic blue and yellow. If you are considering getting one get it before the new shipping rules take effect January 1st. The new box requirements are changing, and so is the cost of the shipping.

We are fast approaching iceboating season and in some way northern places it has started. So it is not too late to get your Skimmer 45 ready to go.

The 2026 Butterfly Nationals will be on the beautiful waters of Torch Lake. So start making your plans now to attend. We have been told that the open fleet will be as big as this years was at White Lake. Start getting your Butterfly sailboat ready.

If your scow is looking a little ragged up in the bow, or perhaps maybe your best friend decided to hammer you on the starting line we can fix that. There has been lots of gelcoat being sprayed to many bows the last few weeks as it seems there were quite a few people staring at electric gizmos and not being heads up. Regardless we can fix it and make it look new. Give us a call we do complete repair.

In a week we shift over to building strictly white hull and deck Butterfly sailboats for the remainder of the 2026 delivery year. So if you are thinking about getting yourself a colored deck you better order now. We won’t be doing the colored decks until we start the next model run. However you will be able to get a white Butterfly and they will be in stock.

Most of the other skiffs we have our longer boats this one is our first shorter version. The design is pretty neat as it has a recurved bottom with hard chines which makes it really stable. The hull deck seam is all glassed in so you have no leaking ever. The beam is very wide so you have lots of room.

In our wildest dreams we never really thought that we would build all the projects that we have. It has been quite the adventure to say the least. It has ranged from three different scow classes to the Butterfly and in between. We have built training boats, life boats and many wild things as well. Here is to the next adventure.
