z/VM Operating System and System Delivery Offering (SDO)

The VM System Delivery Offering (SDO) is the IBM program offering for VM which includes a single deliverable containing the VM operating system and a group of IBM Licensed Program Products.


Products available in the SDO

  1. The z/VM Operating System
    Priced optional features include:
    • RSCS Feature
    • RACF Security Server
    • Performance Toolkit
    • DirMaint Facility
  2. Optional SDO Licensed Products (everything from system backup, security to operations management)

Additional Information

  • The group of IBM Licensed Program Products may not have the latest service. Please verify the latest level of service by referencing each products program directory.
  • The restricted source and the PL/X source are not orderable or shipped with z/VM. Both will be available as no-charge downloads from IBM Resource Link at https://www.ibm.com/servers/resourcelink.

    If you are not registered with Resource Link, you will be require to register for a user ID and password. You must also be licensed for z/VM V7 and entitlement will be verified when you request the source code. After approval, you will receive instructions describing how to download the code.
