TypeCon2003 is presented by SOTA, in partnership with the Minnesota Center for Book Arts, the Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum, the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and the University of Minnesota Design Institute.
TypeCon is known for being one of the friendliest conferences. And of course, the great people that attend as speakers and guests make it one of the must-go-to events of the year for typographers and graphic designers alike. This year I’m proud to say that I’ve been invited as a speaker/panelist along with Stephen Coles of Typographica, Jon Coltz of Daidala and Joe Pemberton and Jared Benson of Typophile. We will be discussing web logs (or something along those lines) and any other topics that might arise in this open discussion panel. I’m really looking forward to it. The only thing I’m fearing is the lack of a “preview” button at the conference. God knows what comes out of my mouth without first reviewing it.
Anyway. It’s cheap. It’s in Minneapolis. It’s fun. And you will learn a lot.
awesome dude! i'll be there. which isn't tough since it's all of 1 mile away from my house. we'll have to get some drinks one of the nights. that's a pretty impressive lineup of speakers for the price, indeed. and the workshops look great as well.
On Mar.27.2003 at 12:10 PMI'm not sure if I'll make it to the actual conference (perhaps a few weekend sessions) but it'd still be fun to hook up with Armin and the other TCers in here for lunch/drinks/happy hour/what have you.
It's always good to network...er...I mean meet new people. ;o)
On Mar.27.2003 at 01:36 PMI'm excited to meet all the Minneaputians and to actually see Minneapolis and set foot in the Walker.
The conference looks like it's going to be great, amazing what SOTA can do and keep the registration costs so low.
