Wahingdoh appoints Kashyap as new coach

Date:

SHILLONG: Royal Wahingdoh have formally appointed former Rangdajied United coach, Santosh Kashyap as head coach ahead of the I-League.
Speaking to Royal Wahingdoh, the AFC ‘A’ license coach expressed his happiness to return to Shillong saying it has become his “second home.” He said, “It’s an honour and pleasure to be a part of Royal Wahingdoh, one of the oldest clubs in Shillong. A new challenge awaits me and I am thankful to the club’s managing director Dominic Sutnga for giving me this opportunity.” Santosh Kashyap began his coaching career with Mahindra United’s youth team. As a result, he is expected to fit in well considering a majority of Wahingdoh’s players are still in a young age group.
“My target is to bring the best out of our players and construct them into a strong unit which will subsequently enable us to take on the challenge of facing experienced I-League teams,” Kashyap said.
