Those injured included Wazir Khan, Ali Hassan, Hammad Younas, Muneeb Shehzad, Muazzam Adeel, Ibrahim Muneer, Karim Ullah and Umer Saique. They sustained serious burn wounds and were shifted to the Mayo Hospital in Lahore from the Daska THQ Civil Hospital due to their critical condition.

Wooden heels are produced at a workshop in Accra for the MO SAIQUE designers, Ghanaians based in London who work closely with artisans in Africa to produce their footwear range.
