Three patients had an ovulatory menstrual cycle, and two others had
preovulatory follicular development and withdrawal bleeding during treatment.
Ovaries
preovulatory contain oocytes with yolk (stage V, yolking begins about 1.1 mm in size); ovary usually contains unyolked oocytes.
A follicle was considered
preovulatory if its largest diameter measured at least 20 mm, or follicular if it measured at least 30 mm.
