When Barofsky and Fontaine (4) compared phagophobia patients with other subjects--healthy controls, anorexia nervosa restrictors, dysphagic patients with esophageal obstruction, dysphagic patients with motility disturbance, and patients with
nonmotility non-obstructive dysphagia--they found that patients with psychogenic dysphagia did not appear to have an eating disorder.
The strain was considered to be LAB based on his positive Gram staining,
nonmotility, their rod shape, absence of catalase activity and physiological and biochemical characteristics, tested according to the abovementioned taxonomical keys of Wood and Holzapfel (1995) [37], Axelsson, 1993 [04], Curk et al., 1996 [12], Schillinger, and Lucke, 1987 [29], and also according to interpretation of APILAB PLUS database.
This genomic structure and
nonmotility is found in all B.
These features include
nonmotility, inability to ferment xylose and lactose, and inability to produce [beta]-D-glucuronidase.
The isolate was considered as lactic acid bacteria based on its gram positive reactions,
nonmotility, absence of spore formation and catalase activity.
Nonmotility and phagocytic resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates from chronically colonized patients with cystic fibrosis.
