A DOG who almost starved to death due to a pancreatic condition has made an incredible recovery to win a
heelwork to music class at Crufts - thanks to West Kirby vets.

For those with an artistic flair there is
Heelwork To Music where many separate tricks' are linked together and carried out to appropriate music resulting in what looks like a dance routine.
As well as the breed class judging, which leads to Best in Show, visitors will be able to watch some of the world's finest dogs and handlers in action across a range of disciplines including agility, obedience,
heelwork to music and flyball.
"Nobody was more surprised than me!" The trio will be joined by Emma Pirrie from Carluke who will be showing Yolande in the
Heelwork to Music freestyle category.
Unlike other dog shows, the politicians and their four-legged friends are not required to prove their agility,
heelwork or obedience.
From chihuahuas to retrievers, dogs of all shapes and sizes will be judged on their looks, agility and
heelwork during the four-day event which takes place at the NEC.
This is reflected in the show which is made up of various different elements of training, such as obedience, agility,
heelwork to music and flyball, but with the emphasis firmly on fun and entertainment.There will be music, costumes, a barbeque, a bar and raffle with all proceeds being split evenly between two charities, cancer research and the PAWS dog shelter.
TOP DOG: Run by the Kennel Club, it incorporates obedience exercises such as retrieving balls and
heelwork on and off the lead.
The event has changed in ways that Charles could not possibly have imagined when the show was set up in Victorian times and it has grown to include agility, flyball, obedience and
heelwork to music competition.
