The tree species grown in pulp HTI areas are Pine, Eucalyptus, Acacia Mangium, Meranti, Sungkai and
Gmelina Abora; in carpentry HTI areas outside transmigration areas are Jabon, rubber, Jelutung,
Gmelina, Acasia Mangium, Encalyptus Degupta, Paraserianthes Falcataria, Pinus, Meranti, Sungkai, Ulin and Ramin; and those in carpentry HTI areas in transmigration areas are Jabon, rubber, Tengkawang,
Gmelina, Acasia Mangium, Eucaliptus Degupta, Pinus, Meranti, Sungkai, Paraserianthes Falcataria, Jelutung, Balsa, etc.
Later, PT' Kiani Kertas introduced an 80% Acacia mangium/20%
Gmelina arborea Roxb.
Increasingly, logs of smaller dimensions (e.g., rubberwood,
gmelina, acacia, eucalyptus, teak and pine) from fast-growing plantations will be used.

gmelina, a fast-growing Asian softwood.

gmelina to provide income as the country's international market share diminishes for products like coffee.
They employed local woodworkers and used, along with bamboo, locally sourced lumber like mahogany and
Gmelina. From the get-go, the couple had been clear on what Alpas was going to be about.
It also produces exotic trees like Mahogany,
Gmelina, and Manguim.
