Martin asked for a CT scan and a
cystography - a procedure to visualise the bladder - in a bid to prove surgery was necessary and his mum was fit to have it.
Martin also asked for a CT scan and a
cystography, a procedure that uses X-rays to examine the bladder.
The catheter was removed after documenting no extravasation in the
cystography performed 6 weeks after surgery.
It was essential to perform catheter injection experiments,
cystography or surgical exploration directly for patient accorded with one or more points above, which facilitated to discover position of crevasse.
Imaging modalities are intravenous urography,
cystography, ultrasonography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance.
The diagnostic procedures include lacrimal probing, lacrimal irrigation, dacryocystography, the Jones dye test, the fluorescein test and radionuclide
cystography. Appropriate clinical and radiographical testing when indicated will aid in the diagnosis of dacryocystitis.
Right urethra was catheterized, and
cystography revealed a large rectovesical fistula between the right colon and the right bladder (Figure 2).
Following the discovery of various contrast materials that could be installed into the urinary tract, new applications were introduced, including
cystography in 1903 and retrograde pyelography in 1906 [1].
CT
cystography confirmed intraperitoneal bladder rupture at the dome with active extravasation into the peritoneal cavity (Figure 5).
Cystoscopy, hysterosalpingography, and
cystography are common conventional diagnostic modalities with imaging playing an ever-increasing role in the diagnosis.
D - In general, it is not recommended to perform
cystography (voiding cystourethrogram [VCUG], radionuclide
cystography or echo-enhanced
cystography) on children after a first UTI, unless any of the following criteria apply to the patient: Recurrent UTI, Abnormalities in previous imaging studies (ultrasound or DMSA), Signs of lower urinary tract dysfunction, Family history of vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) C - When performing a cystographic study in paediatric patients, it is recommended to use radionuclide
cystography or echo-enhanced
cystography, if available, instead of VCUG, unless lower urinary tract abnormalities are Referral to Specialist/ suspected.
All patients visited one week after surgery and were followed by ultrasonography one month and radionuclide
cystography (RNC) 3 months after surgery; if RNC was normal, follow-up imaging was done by using ultrasonography at 6 and 12 months after operation and then annually.
