(trĭm′bəl), David Baron Trimble. Born 1944. Politician of Northern Ireland. Leader of the Ulster Unionist Party (1995-2005), the largest political party in Northern Ireland, he shared the 1998 Nobel Peace Prize with John Hume for his work toward establishing peace in that region.
