Tareen, Anti-urease Secondary Metabolites from
Seriphidium quettense, Rec.
A new species of subgenus
Seriphidium of Artemisia L.
During summer, their ration consisted of Corispermum sp (28.16%), Seriphidium santolinum (17.98%), Artemisia desertorum (12.32%), Ephedra przewalskii (11.91%), and Horaninowia ulicina (10.29%).
The vegetation consists of dwarf shrubs, such as Ephedra sp, Seriphidium santolinum, and Callingonum spp., and perennial herbs including Lithospermum sp, Artemisia desertorum, and Carex physodes.
Seriphidium sieberi (Besser) Bremer & Humphries] [Note: This is the species identified in most earlier Arabian literature as Artemisia herba-alba Asso or
Seriphidium herba-alba (Asso) Sojak.

Seriphidium Bess.
Woody shrubs include mountain sagebrush (
Seriphidium vaseyanum) on dry slopes, and cinquefoil (Pentaphylloides floribunda) and willows (Salix spp.) in moister areas.
On the basis of our experience, we assigned one of four fragrances: "neutral" (no discernible odor), "sweet" [pleasant floral odor, similar to sweet clover (Melilotus)], "pungent" (similar to the western sagebrush,
Seriphidium vaseyanum), or "skunk." To test whether different flowers on the same plant had similar fragrance, we smelled flowers on all panicles of each plant, and we blindfolded ourselves to records of odor determinations made on previous visits to the same plant.
Statistically maximum amount of total mineral nutrients (65.66 mg g-1) were produced by
Seriphidium quettense (Podlech) Ling, Bull.
