The high Zagros unit (or Crush Zone) has three separate subunits, which consists of the Biston limestone (Upper Cretaceous-Lower Triassic), the Kermanshah ophiolite, and the Bakhtaran radiolarite. This ophiolite is the uppermost part of the thrusted unit, and the thrusting is thought to have occurred during the Maastrichtian [3].
This radiolarite unit has the maximum volume of the rocks of the Noorabad ophiolitic compelex and has expanded from east of Noorabad to Kermanshah that has green to reddish brown colors.
The mineralization in this area is highly firm and generally fractured and folded, developed in banded and lenticular shape, and syngenetic with radiolarite cherts.
