Petrified Forest protectorate in New Cairo.
But despite the park's ability to surprise and delight, the experience at
Petrified Forest had lost its sheen.

Petrified Forest and Sexual Perversity in Chicago.
Their elegant leaves eventually fossilized in places like Washington's Ginkgo
Petrified Forest State Park.

Petrified Forest."
At The
Petrified Forest in the west of the island, we walked down hundreds of steps expecting to find a vast tract of trees, the legacy of a volcanic eruption 20 million years ago.
The dramatic scenery includes the
Petrified Forest, Painted Desert and Monument Valley.
One day last summer park archaeologist Bill Reitze set off in his truck to explore a new section of
Petrified Forest. And there, at this previously unexplored site, in a dusty shallow pit in front of some sandstone structures, he discovered a mysterious and rare cache of seven axe heads.
One such relic, the
petrified forest that lies preserved in the sands of Borth, in Ceredigion, is thought to be around 6,000 years old.
