Pa·ri·cu·tin
(pä-rē′ko͞o-tēn′) A volcano, 3,170 m (10,400 ft) high, of west-central Mexico west of Mexico City. It erupted from a cornfield in February 1943 and grew more than 460 m (1,500 ft) in that year alone.
