In his reply submitted by Pervez Musharraf in SC, he has said
NRO was promulgated to end political victimization besides ensuring transparency in electoral process.
The former president said that the
NRO was promulgated without malafide intend or vested interests on his part, and that it was meant to end political victimisation in the country.
The National Reconciliation Order (
NRO), passed by former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf in 2007, granted amnesty to politicians and other individuals by quashing various corruption and criminal cases against them.
