It will be available in three versions, Front Disc/Alloy, Drum Brakes/Alloy and Drum Brakes/Metal, and has the same telescopic forks at the front and new 3-step adjustable pre-load
monoshock at the back.
Suspension is via a reasonably firm rear Sachs
monoshock and non-adjustable upside-down Kayaba forks.

The made in Italy bike has 19-inch front and 17 inch rear wheel with a dual-channel ABS, good ground clearance, brembo front and rear brakes with Switchable ABS, upside-down front forks with adjustable rebound and a rear
monoshock with preloaded and rebound damping adjustment, engine protection bars, LED auxiliary lamps, skid plate and pannier mounting points.
That new rear
monoshock, with an external hydraulic adjuster, gives you 4.4-inches of travel, so it soaks up most bumps easily without sending shivers up your spine, or bottoming out.
The single-tube,
monoshock suspension unit with seven-stage spring preload adjustment and aluminium swing arm promises stability and strength.
These include radialmounted 300mm discs, two-pot front brake callipers in conjunction with 41mm rwu frontforks and a 220mm disc, two-pot rear brake with a rear
monoshock.
The Gixxer also comes with a 7- step adjustable rear
monoshock which offers the possibility of further fine- tuning the suspension!
The trellis frames will be made of high tensile steel tubes, with Marzocchi upside-down forks up front and a Paioli/Ohlins
monoshock at the rear.
Other old bikes, seemingly gasping for air but still competitive in the hands of experienced riders were Clubman B winner, Richard Harrison on his
Monoshock Yamaha and third place man Ian Atkinson from Carlton on a beautiful old Montesa.
It does get a hybrid twin spar frame of pressed steel, meaty front forks, a
monoshock with a box section swingarm at the rear and reasonably fat tyres.
