"It is unfortunate that
ITUC failed to see the consistent efforts of the government in protecting the welfare of the Filipino workers," Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III said in a statement.
Bello said he took 'a strong exception' to the
ITUC report, which he said may be based on 'imaginary' information.
"The
ITUC is claiming 43 cases of labor leaders being killed.

Chhun on Wednesday said he believes the
ITUC and EI have the 'power' to push the ministry and the Cambodian government to reinstate them.
As the
ITUC states: "There can be no decent work with violence at work.
At the end of the
ITUC first day activities, members of the conference expressed, in a solidarity session, their support and stand by Syria in facing Takfiri terrorism that is targeting its people and territory to serve the imperial powers.
The International Trade Union Confederation (
ITUC) also accused Qatar of forced labour of workers without consideration of international labour protection laws, with pittance for salaries and poor health conditions.
