Getz
(gĕts), Stan Originally Stanley Gayetsky. 1927-1991. American tenor saxophonist who played in several big bands, including those of Benny Goodman and Woody Herman. He is also known for his bossa nova recordings, especially "The Girl from Ipanema" (1963).
