The eulytite crystals like bismuth germanate ([Bi.sub.4][Ge.sub.3][O.sub.12], BGO) have a considerable importance due to their remarkable characteristics such as large light output, fast luminescent decay time, low afterglow, and good radiation hardness [1].

It is commonly associated with other bismuth minerals including native bismuth, bismuthinite, bismutite, bismite, beyerite, eulytite, pucherite, schumacherite and clinobisvanite.
(1995) report that namibite occurs associated with schumacherite, eulytite (?), pucherite (?), mrazekite and chrysocolla from a skarn on the western side of a gorge on Morass Creek, north of Benambra, Victoria, Australia.
