The jugal bar presents the quadratic condyle (Condylus quadraticus), which articulates with the cotyle quadratic jugal (Cotyla quadrato jugalis), in the species observed.

The posterior condyle is slightly displaced dorsally and the cotyle is concave.

They say that it (wine flavoured with mandrake) is soporific and that it plunges an entire dinner party into deep sleep if one cotyle (0,274 l) of it was mixed with one chous (3,282 l) of wine; one cyathos drunk with one xestes (0,547 l) of wine is lethal.

This vertebra is about 80% complete, missing the haemel arch, posterior cotyle, and left transverse process.

Important measurements of the Bear Creek Site vertebra (measurements in mm) are greatest length through pre- and postzygapophyses, 9.0; greatest width through postzygapophyses, 8.7; width of condyle, 2.9; length of neural spine, 4.9; zygosphenal width, 4.0; length of hemal spine, 5.8; width of cotyle, 3.3.

The combination of characters that identify the fossil to Leptotyphlops include absence of a neural spine; zygosphene wide and thin; prezygapophyseal facets elongated and strongly anteriorly directed; posterior ends of neural arch extended medially; condyle and cotyle dorsoventrally compressed; hemal keel indistinguishable from centrum; and no subcentral ridges.
