Just behind is a cavernous locker that's about six foot deep with a hatch into the
chain locker; its size reflecting the voluminous hull and full bows of GL460.
A new bar in the bow has been created with the counter from the Park Lane Hotel, of Sefton Park, called the
Chain Locker Bar (reflecting its former use) and a bridal suite with a Pirates of the Caribbean theme.
My favoured hostelry of this ilk was the

Chain Locker in North Shields ( but its familiar historic frontage is to remain a landmark.
The integrated bowsprit is an elegant and effective anchor and spinnaker support with a stainless steel spine under the moulded fibreglass where a CQR anchor hangs, controlled by the a Lewmar 1400W vertical windlass with a deep drop in the
chain locker. Reside here is a possible crew/skipper quarters if needed, which is moulded with a manual head and locker space.
Besides outdoor deck space a two-deck function room in the former anchor
chain locker rooms will hold up to 200 people when completed.
For some strange reason the old
Chain Locker dockers of Barry came to my mind.
