Summary: Chandigarh (Punjab) [India], Aug 16 (ANI): Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) will contest the upcoming Haryana assembly elections in alliance with the BJP and negotiations for seat-sharing are presently going on, said the party's Core Committee member and in-charge of Haryana Balwinder Singh Bhunder here on Friday.

The tributaries of Rivers Chenab and Ravi (Bhimber, Bhunder, Palku, Aik, Hasri, Deg, Basantar, Daulti and Bien nullahs), tributaries of River Kabul and hill torrents of D.G.

Badal along with MPs Sukhbir Singh Badal, Naresh Gujral, Balwinder Singh Bhunder and President of Amritsar Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Sardar Gobind Singh Longowal marked their presence at the meeting.

A high-level SAD delegation led by MP Balwinder Singh Bhunder called on the Election Commission and apprised it that the police officer had continued to work as a member of SIT even after the state government submitted a compliance report regarding the order to the Commission, read a statement from the party.

Along with Badal, former Punjab cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majithia and Haryana in-charge Balwinder Singh Bhunder addressed the rally, with an aim to strengthen Sikh vote bank in Kurukshetra and its neighbouring districts.
