It been about two years since the former Vice Chancellor (VC) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Prof Mawutor Avoke, together with five others were removed from their various positions.

has acquired the assets of Massachusetts, US-based call experience analytics company AVOKE from Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) to enhance West's comprehensive portfolio of voice, text and unified communication solutions, the company said.

Avoke and Avoke (2004) noted that teacher preparation in Ghana especially in the universities were focused on methodologies and assessment practices that were not tailored to the needs of children with disabilities in inclusive schools.

Economic hardship is predictive of a wide range of disabilities (Lustig & Strauser, 2007; Minkler et al., 2006), and individuals with disabilities have more difficulty finding employment, earning adequate incomes, and attaining basic resources, such as stable living arrangements, all of which contribute to living in poverty (Hughes & Avoke, 2010; Newman et al., 2009).

It also brought to mind a piece I wrote for AVOKE Analytics that ran in the November issue of CUSTOMER magazine.
