A 31-mm Tele Vue Nagler eyepiece produces 645x and gave us a true field of view of about 7.6
arcminutes. My first look through the eyepiece left me speechless.
M27 is of course somewhat larger (on the sky), about 8
arcminutes long, whereas M76 is about 3

A prominent magnitude 9 yellow star (HD 20224) is situated about 4
arcminutes to the north-east.
In 2008 the angular separation is closer to 42
arcminutes, and it will be after 2060 before the separation is under 30
arcminutes (0.5[degrees]).
It's small (about 8 by 4
arcminutes in extent) and presents a pallid face to small scopes.
Both clusters are small, at 10 and 4
arcminutes across, respectively, and they can be rather challenging to pull out of the rich background star field.
It is about magnitude 9.8, and lies close to Regulus, only 12

By mid-April next year, they'll be only 8

10
arcminutes If you aim your binoculars or telescope towards Delta Telescopii (see skymap on p.169), it won't take long to discover that this designation is shared by two stars!
Although the galaxies are just 38
