Intelligence: USAF Eagle Eyes

March 19, 2006: Four years ago, the U.S. Air Force instituted the "Eagle Eyes" program, for all its uniformed and civilian personnel and their dependants living on air force bases. The object was to alert everyone about what activity indicates terrorists planning, or actually carrying out, a terrorist attack. Secondly, the program provided a phone number to call with any useful information, and someone on the other end of the line who knew what Eagle Eye was, and would make good use of any useful tips. So far, 5,000 calls have been made. People were asked to be on the lookout for;

Surveillance (someone using a cameras, binoculars or writing stuff down),

Contact from someone looking for information about military operations,

Someone apparently testing security measures at the base (reaction times, or whether the security works at all),

Anyone in the area who does not appear to belong there,

Anyone (who shouldn't be) trying to get possession of weapons, explosives, security passes, uniforms,

Anyone who appears to be rehearsing an attack.

People apparently deploying for an imminent attack.
