Noisy bands made it less than ideal.
Included in my meager 6 contacts was one with N2TNN - Dean from VA. He's been a member for less than two weeks so "hats off" for a new member getting active! Also nice chat with my good friend Curt - K2CWM!
My first SSS. I had to add a UHF coupler to the end of my bug's pendulum to get it to a suitable speed. This was all QRP using my KX3 and my EFHW. Lots of fun!
31 total QSOs, mostly on 40 meters. This includes 10 stations contacted for the first time, and 4 QRP stations. All with my 1950 straight key sending very slowly! Thanks to all of you who responded to my CQs. Look for me in the December WES as Dancer!
I had only about an hour after work on Wednesday to jump on 40-- good to work a couple new members despite the QRM.
Fun event, see you in WES,
Not much time but fun while it lasted
A really fun event, maybe my fav SKCC event. Ran my TS-590SG @ 75w to a multiband vertical (elevated). Used my old (1944) Lionel J38 straight key (gifted to me by a Army MARS friend from Ft Monmouth NJ).

I had a good time playing with my straight keys again. I usually use a Bug due to arthritis in my hands however sending slow on a SK seems fine now. Maybe the new meds are working. I started on 8o meters then went to 40 for most of the QSO'S.The bands were not that great but still managed 18 contacts and had a good time. I used my Junker for most contacts and the Marconi 213 for a couple.

Nice to get on the air on the 1st of the month.
Chatted with just about everyone.
Everyone have a great month looking for Santa, 73
Thank You for the December SSS QSO's.
Have a Very Merry Christmas.

Happy holidays everyone! 73!
My first SSS. Was great fun! Good to be back to pounding brass.
N8XEAlways a nice way to spend time in the shack ....

Been a while. Happy to have been able to log a qso.
This was my first time participating in this event. Only worked one station.
First time on for the Slow Speed Saunter, just worked a few stations on 40 between other chores.
Only a little time to participate but had a lot of fun.
WB5JWIEnjoyed my first SSS! Issues with conditions and QRM kept me from getting more QSOs, along with errands that I had to run. I'll be back for the next one, I promise!
Thanks for the 80m SSS qso's. I was on for only 1 hr 13 min. I called cq and always had a qso. 73 WB9TFF Donna
Had time for a few QSO's on 40 meters during the day. Had just mounted my Navy Flameproof key to the recently acquired 2 lb base - what a solid feel it has now.
Used the new IC-7300 with my horizontal loop.
