Robert Trent Jones II – Renowned Golf Course Architect

Our Vision for Golf Course Architecture & Design

At RTJ II, we listen to the land first, then we speak. Hidden within the topography of a great golf site is a cultural and historical legacy that transcends time and place, and which must be honored before a single stone is moved. It is then that our purpose unfolds: how to use nature's gifts and our years of experience as a golf course architect to create a course that will live in one's memory long after being played. We don't take on just any project, but will work with anyone who shares our vision: CEOs, heads of state, budget-minded municipalities, private developers, and world-class resorts seeking championship golf course design.

With over 300 courses in 50 countries, Robert Trent Jones Jr. stands as a renowned golf course architect specializing in sustainable golf course architecture and golf course renovation projects worldwide.

Our comprehensive approach encompasses new championship golf course design, golf course renovation of historic layouts, and sustainable golf course architecture that honors environmental stewardship. As an experienced golf course architect, RTJ II brings decades of expertise to every project.

Our Legacy as Golf Course Architects & Designers

The Robert Trent Jones name has been synonymous with golf course architecture since the late 1930s. Robert Trent Jones Sr. considered architecture an art form, not a science. "Follow the land," he said famously, "don’t change the land." A century later that mantra still serves as the guiding light for the golf course design firm that defined golf course architecture in the modern era. Featured by Golf Digest, Golf Course Architecture and many other publications countless times, RTJ II designs are truly something special to be a part of.
