Designing for the future of people and communities
Peddle Thorp Architects is a leading Australian architectural practice with a rich history of delivering visionary and purpose driven designs nationally and internationally.
With over four decades of experience, we specialise in creating community centric, high-performance spaces across sports and recreation, aquatic and wellness centres, commercial, residential, education, hospitality, retail, aquariums, and civic infrastructure. Our work is driven by a commitment to functional design, sustainability, and innovation, enhancing how people engage with the built environment. Our holistic approach ensures designs positively impact communities, fostering meaningful interactions.
Collaboration is key. We work closely with local governments, developers, and stakeholders to ensure our projects respond to each community’s cultural, environmental, and social context.
About us
Peddle Thorp is one of Australasia’s oldest and most established international architectural brands. Since forming in Melbourne in the early 1980s, the practice has expanded its services from Asia to the Middle East and into a truly global business with a vibrant design studio and a comprehensive skill base.
Our success has been built on a clear set of values that distinguish our design work from others. We pursue a simplicity of approach and a design philosophy that adds value to our clients’ projects, considering urban design, environmental values, cost efficiencies and above all creating great places in which to work, live and play.
We believe that great architecture is not created by the limitations set by one authoritative brand, but rather emerges out of layers of creative contributions. We also thrive on the possibility of finding new order from within the complexity of constraint.
